No matter whether you want to try your hand at golf for the first time or come to us with a handicap: our golf course is located directly next to the hotel offers beginners and seasoned players alike many opportunities to learn and develop their game. More than 200 hectares of perfectly tended greens with various combination options, terrace tees and two ponds fulfil the discerning demands placed on an unforgettable golfing holiday. Come and take a look at our course.

THE 18-HOLE OLD COURSE

This course dates back to 1975. We have cared for and nurtured our jewel every year since then. Little by little, we are giving the 18-hole Old Course a modernising facelift. The redesign will be finalised by golf course architect Christoph Städler. The discerning 18-hole course is based on a park landscape with a varied wood stock and will be fully playable as of spring 2018. The largely flat topography is easily mastered on foot with little effort..

CHALLENGING GOLF SPORT

The course comprises four ponds at six holes and the Pfohrbach river that crosses a further four holes. Measuring around 6,000 metres in length calculated on the basis of standard yellow tees, the Old Course is the longest of our three courses and also the only one with championship tees.

From a sports viewpoint, the Old Course is a challenging course that golfers with a higher handicap will also enjoy.

THE 18-HOLE EAST COURSE

The East Course added another 18 holes to our existing facilities in May 2017. The open terrain is visually characterised by richly structured hedges and solitary trees. The characteristics of the key-shaped terrain topography are similar to a links course, making the course an incomparable masterpiece not only because of its intelligent layout.

The view from the 10th tee is breath-taking. Here, the horizon seems infinitely far away. The fabulous panoramic view stretches over wide expanses of our golf landscape far into the lush countryside and towards the Feldberg.

PUT YOUR SKILLS TO THE TEST

The East Course measures 6,000 metres in length and features a number of water hazards in the form of six ponds at eight holes. The River Pfohrbach and its restored meadow landscape run alongside or cross five holes on the course. It offers players of every skill level numerous opportunities to achieve low hole scores.
Another highlight: The intensively modelled holes have ideal drainage systems so you can play on them virtually all year round. Embedded in a beautiful landscape of rolling hills, our 18-hole East Course is an enticing prospect with a number of visually unusual and in part even spectacular holes.

THE 9-HOLE ACADEMY COURSE

Our new 9-hole Academy Course was opened in October 2017. The strikingly designed course features five holes in open terrain and four holes located in the park of the Old Course. Minor differences in elevation make the course easily manageable on foot. The Academy Course has two ponds at three holes.

GOLFING ON THE 9-HOLE ACADEMY COURSE

Measuring just under 2,500 metres in length, our Academy Course is especially suitable for a quick round of golf. An extensive variation of greens and surrounding areas ensure an extremely high fun factor. Its 9 holes are very playable and offer ample room for birdies and numerous opportunities for pars.

The 6th hole with its rounded, mowed semi-roughs in the middle of the fairway is an absolute eye-catcher and probably the only one of its kind in the world. Are you wondering what it’s all about? The semi-roughs indicate two prehistoric burial mounds that are subject to the protection of historical ground monuments.
